Our History.
Ferntree Gully Electroplaters are proud to offer four generations of knowledge & over 80 years of experience in the electroplating industry.
Electroplating was the chosen trade of Max Pierce who as a newly qualified plater was tasked with the job of silver plating the clocks from Melbourne’s iconic Flinders Street station in 1932. After the Second World War Max set about building his own electroplating plant in Hawthorn which he aptly named “Endeavour Platers”. Max was an absolute perfectionist and over the years passed his knowledge & meticulous quality standards down to son Jack. With business booming the factories in Hawthorn multiplied with the largest expansion completed in 1953 (see above image taken during construction).
Business has continued with the third & fourth generations learning the craft and relocating the factory to its current location in Knoxfield in 2003.
